Meet Rebecca

Hi there. I'm Rebecca—nice to meet you! I'm a developmental editor, specializing in fantasy, romantasy, romance and everything in between.

I have a BA in English, an MA in English Literature and Writing, and I'm a graduate of the Odyssey Writing Workshop for writers of speculative fiction. 

​

I have a deep knowledge of story structure, characters, plot development, style and world-building; I love figuring out what makes a book tick and how it could be better. 

 

In particular, I love working with indie authors and new authors. I also have a background in education (high school English teacher for 10 years and an instructional designer for 5). This means that I'm a great communicator; above all else, my goal is to help you understand not only where your manuscript needs improvement but also WHY it needs improvement and HOW you can improve. I want to help you grow as a writer on this editing journey. Because I'm an educator at heart, when you sign up for any of my services, you can be assured you'll get clearly explained feedback and revision suggestions every step of the way. ​

I'm also a mom of three—and fellow moms are some of my favorite clients. Moms are busy. Moms are multitaskers. And you know what—they write some awesome novels.
